Their old, and their outdated. It's either paint them or replace them! Here at Brilliant Coatings we don't even consider it an option to replace them. Why put out all the money on new cabinets when you can just paint them. It gives you a whole new look, at a much cheaper price, and will last for years and We use a specially formulated coating for cabinets. The process is simple, we can normally be in and out of your house in about 2 to 4 days depending on the scope of your specific job. In the first phase, we complete all the prep work, which is easily about 60% of cabinet painting. We remove all the doors, drawers, and shelving, from the cabinet boxes, and then remove the hinges & pull knob fittings from them. Next we clean them, all the doors, drawers, shelving, and the cabinet facings - all paintable surfaces. They must be free from any old grease, grime and dirt, in order for the new paint to adhere properly. We caulk any seams in the cabinet doors, and allow them to dry for 24hrs. Then we sand them in detail using graduated sizes of sandpaper. Finally, we clean everything using a Hepa vacuum filtration system, tack cloths, and varnish soaked rags. We want to remove "all" the dust possible. Next we use drop cloths, and tape, paper, and plastic to any and all areas, and items that require it to mask, for the actual painting. The painting itself, Phase 2, can be completed by Brush or Spray. We can go over the options and details of your job during the estimate phase. The cabinets will be primed using a stain killing/bonding oil based primer and top coated using a specifically formulated coating for cabinetry. Phase 3, when the paint is dry the new hardware can then be attached, and the doors, shelving and drawers re-installed. The masking materials are all removed, and this brings to conclusion your job! Remember, Painting, can make a room Brighter, and Cleaner. The cabinetry, is the focal point of your kitchen. We can make them shine like new!
